Our cans are rinsed out with a cleaning fluid after they are manufactured which does have a fuel-like scent to it. We can confirm that this is normal and does no harm to the can or the fuel that is then put inside.

It’s a very well made can, and that magnetic cap is very useful. When travelling along in my car with the can I notice there’s no smell of petrol at all, unlike other cans I’ve had from elsewhere. I’ve not poured any fuel from it yet, but I have no doubt that I’ll not be disappointed.
